Retreat Area Proves to be Popular

Eurodam’s maiden voyage is well underway, and it’s nice to see guests using the facilities we’ve watched develop over the past year. Pam snapped this photo of the Retreat (she didn’t want to get too close out of respect for privacy), and word is that the area is very popular.

Lido Cabanas Are a Nice Place to Lounge

Since we’ve showed you the Retreat cabanas, we thought you’d like to see the Lido cabanas too. The loungers look really comfortable and their proximity to the pool makes them the perfect place to relax.

The cabanas are right next to the pool under the Magrodome.

There will be curtains between the cabanas giving some privacy, but at the time of this photo they hadn’t been installed.

A Bird’s Eye View of Eurodam

Blog Correspondent Pam has been very busy these past few days. Today, her work for the Eurodam News Blog took her to new heights, literally, when she had the opportunity to see the ship from a crane. Pam snapped some fabulous shots from all points of view. Enjoy!

Update: The Retreat Cabanas are Being Built

They certainly are moving fast! Just yesterday we posted that the materials for the cabanas in the Retreat on Deck 11 were loaded on board, and workers already are assembling them. Thanks to Pam for snapping this photo.

Cabanas for Retreat Area Loaded

The equipment for the 14 cabanas at the Retreat area were transported by crane to their final destination on Observation Deck, Deck 11. Pam captured the activity on camera.

The cabanas in the Retreat offer guests a spa-like private area where they can relax with refreshments and luxurious leisure amenities.

The airy, tented cabanas will be furnished with modern woven chaises, ottomans and upholstered settees. All cabanas come stocked with bathrobes and plush towels, hand-held fans, an Evian spray mister and iPods preloaded with great music. Chilled waters are available and guests can look forward to iced fruit skewers in mid-morning and frozen grapes, chocolate-covered strawberries and a glass of champagne in the afternoon.

There also will be eight cabanas located around the Lido pool.
