A Sneak Peek at a Verandah Stateroom
Julie | August 22, 2007 at 9:42 am | In Accommodations, Latest News | 2 CommentsWe’ve been getting a lot of requests to see the staterooms on Eurodam. Because the ship is still under construction, the rooms look pretty similar — empty steel-walled spaces strewn about with construction debris! However, we do have photos of the mock-ups, designed by NB Design Group of Seattle.
In this entry, we are featuring a verandah stateroom. There will be 596 verandah staterooms (not including suites) on Eurodam. Unlike the other Holland America Line ships, the cabin décor will have a more monochromatic palette accented with color. Passenger corridors leading to staterooms also will be decorated in the same contemporary theme.

Eurodam Inaugural to Feature Fjords, Kilts
Roland | August 14, 2007 at 11:49 am | In Accommodations, Inaugural, Deployment, Latest News | 4 CommentsNorway’s famed fjords and Scotland’s Highlands are highlights of Eurodam’s inaugural cruise of northern Europe, set for July 5, 2008. The 10-day round-trip sailing departs from Copenhagen, Denmark, and calls at Oslo, Alesund, Vik, Flam and Stavanger, Norway; Newcastle Upon Tyne, England; and Edinburgh (via South Queensbury) and Invergordon, Scotland. Although the penthouses and many upper-category staterooms have been reserved, there are accommodations still available for Eurodam’s first voyage, ranging from a Standard Inside at $2,474 to a Deluxe Verandah at $4,154 per person, double occupancy.
A New Style of Verandah to Debut on Eurodam

A section of Eurodam with the scalloped balconies recently was put into place. Before completion, a curved glass railing will be added to each balcony.
Eurodam will be the first ship in the Holland America Line fleet to feature cabins with curved verandahs. The new verandahs measure 42 inches at the widest point and are large enough to comfortably fit a small table and chairs. The 10 cabins with the curved verandahs are located on Deck 11 and similar in size to a deluxe verandah cabin.
More Decks Means More Stateroom Choices
Roland | July 11, 2007 at 5:43 pm | In Accommodations, Photos, Shipboard Amenities, Interior Design | 10 CommentsThe additional deck on Eurodam accommodates 63 more staterooms than the Vista-class ships. Forty-seven will be verandah staterooms and 10 will be a new style of stateroom with ceiling-to-floor and wall-to-wall panoramic windows. Of the ship’s 1,022 staterooms, 86 percent will be outsides and 67 percent will have verandahs.
