Great painting as i say before, love the paintings from Steven Card.

Here some additional information about the ship.

The ship sailed as tss Ryndam from 1951 until 1966. After 1966 things became somewhat confusing.

In 1966 HAL transfered the ship to there German subsidiary Europe Canada Linie gmbh. She sailed fore the company until 1967.

The Ryndam was once again transfered now to the state owned Scheepvaart Maatschappij 'Trans-Oceaan' to replace there emigrant ship ss Waterman.

The Ryndam was renamed Waterman in 1968 and chanced home port to The Hague. But the same year she was transfered back to the HAL fleet. Received here original name Ryndam and home port Rotterdam.

She sailed as Ryndam until 1971 and was layed up in here birthplace Schiedam (next to Rotterdam) until 1972. When she was sold to the Greek company Epirotiki Steamship Navigation Co., Piraeus-Greece. And renamed Atlas. After a refit which chanced here profile drastically. She sailed fore the line until 1988.

She was soled to Pride Cruise Line, Nassau-Bahamas. And renamed Pride of Mississippi and run short Caribbean casino cruises from Gulfport.

In 1991 she was once again sold to Gulfdide Casinos Inc, Galveston. Renamed Pride of Galveston as floating casino. Renamed Copa Casino in 1993. In 2002 layed up at the Atlantic Marine Shipyard, Mobile, Alabama. Until 2003 she was sold to India fore scrap. She sunk on route on March 16 2003.
