On July 15, 2008, Eurodam sets forth on the 10-day “Gems of the Baltic” sailing round-trip from Copenhagen, Denmark. Holland America’s newest ship will call at Tallin, Estonia; St. Petersburg, Russia; Helsinki, Finland; Stockholm, Sweden; Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany; and Arhus, Denmark, before returning to Copenhagen.

More Decks Means More Stateroom Choices

The additional deck on Eurodam accommodates 63 more staterooms than the Vista-class ships. Forty-seven will be verandah staterooms and 10 will be a new style of stateroom with ceiling-to-floor and wall-to-wall panoramic windows. Of the ship’s 1,022 staterooms, 86 percent will be outsides and 67 percent will have verandahs.

Eurodam Represents a Whole New Class for Holland America Line

When it is delivered in summer 2008, ms Eurodam will represent Holland America Line’s next class of premium cruise ships. At 2,104 passengers, Eurodam will be the largest vessel ever built for the line. The 86,700-gross-ton Panamax Eurodam is under construction at Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard for an estimated cost of $450 million.

Eurodam will have an additional 11th deck with a topside 144-seat Pan-Asian restaurant and 50-seat lounge that provide panoramic ocean views and a view of the Lido pool.

Other additions are an Explorer’s Lounge Bar, a new specialty restaurant adjacent to the Lido serving fine Italian food, luxury jewelry boutiques, new atrium bar area, enhanced and reconfigured show lounge with theater-style seating, and a new photographic and imaging center.

The Explorations Café, powered by The New York Times, will be located on the starboard side of the Crow’s Nest Lounge, providing a scenic backdrop to the specialty coffee bar, Internet cafe and music listening stations.
